Everton eyeing for James Rodriguez
Everton are reportedly closing in on Real Madrid’s playmaker James Rodriguez.
According to Sky Sports, the deal would see the reunion of the Colombia international and Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti for a third time, having played under him at Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Having falling out of favor under Madrid’s boss, Zidane, Everton have made an offer to Real Madrid for Rodriguez, which is currently under consideration at the Bernabeu.
The 29-years old playmaker, returned from his loan spell at Bayern Munich hoping to secure his place in the current Madrid squad but has lost his place in Zidane’s team.
With just 12 months left on his contract at Madrid, it’s clear that Madrid might not renew his contract. Clubs including Atletico Madrid have expressed their interest in signing him.
