Pogba sidelined by Didier Deschamps


Manchester United and France’s midfielder, Paul Pogba have been sidelined by the French boss, Didier Deschamps after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The 27-year-old midfielder was listed in France’s squad for their upcoming Nations League matches next month.

According to the French boss, Pogba’s place in the squad has been replaced by the young talent Eduardo Camavinga.

In an official report, the French boss said: “I had to make a last-minute change to this list, because Paul Pogba was planned to be in this list but unfortunately for him, he took a test (for COVID-19) yesterday which turned out to be positive today, so at the last minute he was replaced by Eduardo Camavinga.”

France would be playing Sweden in Solna on September 5 and Croatia in Paris on September 8.
