OFFICIAL: Liverpool sign Thiago Alcantara

Thiago Alcantara have today, officially sign for Liverpool in a four-year deal after moving from Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old midfielder signs a four-year deal at Anfield after winning seven Bundesliga titles in seven years.

The Spanish midfielder was very instrumental for Bayern Munich as they clinch the Champions League in Lisbon last season.

Liverpool’s midfield have been boosted after the signing of Alcantara with the likes of Milner, Keita, Henderson, Fabinho and Wijnaldum available to Klopp.

Alcantara revealed that, his former teammates, Coutinho and Alonso helped him to decide his move to Liverpool.

Bayern Munich coach, Hansi Flick has heap a lot of praises on Alcantara after an awesome time with Bayern.

“Thiago is an extraordinary player and was very important for us. My coaching team and I enjoyed working with him. It was very emotional as we said goodbye. I can only congratulate Liverpool as they got a great player and especially a great person” – he said.

Liverpool have given Thiago Alcantara No.6 shirt and would be expected to help Liverpool defend their EPL title.
