Messi snubs Barcelona’s mandatory call

Barcelona’s captain, Lionel Messi, has failed to turned up for Barcelona’s mandatory COVID-19 testing on Sunday.

Messi on Saturday informed the club on his decision not to turn up at the Sant Joan Despi testing center but many didn’t believe until the Argentine indeed kept his words.

Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez,  Martin Braithwaite, Greizmann and Sergio Busquets are some players who turned up for the testing as Ronald Koeman’s squad prepares to return to training on Monday

Barcelona’s captain was expected to be at the testing center by 08:15 GMT but he was no where to be found.

As a result, speculation has evolved as many believe that Messi’s era at Barcelona is finally coming to an end.  

Notable teams are all after the service of the Argentine. Among all, Manchester City are the favourite to secure Messi as speculations have linked him to the club.

However, Barcelona are insisting that the Argentine won’t be sold unless his 700 million euro release clause is met.
