Kai Havertz Signs For Chelsea

Chelsea have announced the signing of Germany and Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid, Kai Havertz for a fee worth of £89million.

The midfielder signs a 5 year deal with the Blues. The signing sees Havertz as the most expensive German player of all time.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder finally becomes Chelsea’s sixth summer signing as they prepare for the 2020/2021season.

Havertz proved to be a key player to Frank Lampard after completing 30 appearances with 6 assists and 12 goals in the Bundesliga.

Havertz becomes Chelsea’s most expensive player after the club spent £72m on Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea’s sixth summer signing sees the club spending an enormous £230million in the transfer market.

The attacking midfielder rose from Leverkusen’s U19 to secure his place in the senior team.

Chelsea would begin their Premier League campaign on Monday September 14, as they face Brighton.
