Tottenham have agreed to pay โ‚ฌ30m for 23-year-old defender with a buy-out clause in the deal.

While on loan at Sevilla, Reguilon was named as the best left-back in La Liga for his impressive performances last season.

Reguilon was also key for Julen Lopetequi side as he helped Sevilla clinch the 2019-20 Europa League title.

Ever since, the 23-year-old has been a hot cake in the transfer market with several clubs running after him.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton were previously interested in signing Reguilon, but it looks like Tottenham have won the race.

Reguilon could be joined at Spurs by his Real Madrid team-mate, Gareth Bale, who have reportedly agreed to join his boyhood club, Tottenham.

Real Madrid are well-stocked at left-back, with Marcelo and Ferland Mendy already battling for that position.

Madrid are keen to sell Reguilon to raise funds and also, the buy-out clause in the deal could allow Madrid to repurchase Reguilon in the coming years as Marcelo’s replacement.
