According to the Referees Manager of the Ghana Football Association, Alex Quartey, the proposed idea is aimed at improving our local games.

This initiative would be greatly welcomed since some sections of Ghanaians have lost their trust in refereeing after Anas’s Number 12 Exposรจ.

In an interview on Asempa Fm, He said, “FIFA has brought a logistics to the Ghana Football Association about the distribution of Video Assistant Referee (VAR)”.

However, many are left in doubt after looking at the technological usage in the country but Mr. Quartey noted that FIFA may give Ghana three years to prepare.

Notwithstanding the fact of using VAR in Ghana, the Confederation of African Football have already shown the pace by using VAR in the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
