The deal also offers Fulham the paramount opportunity to permanently sign Areola once his seasonal loan is over.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper went on loan to Real Madrid and served as a backup to Thibaut Courtois.

However, Real Madrid opted not to sign the France international after his loan spell was over.

The Frenchman returned to PSG hoping to fight for his place but it seems PSG’s boss, Tuchel might not need his service in the upcoming 2020/2021 season.

Areola has been loaned to Fulham and the Frenchman would have the taste of the English Premier League (EPL).

In an interview with Fulham official website, he said, “I am very happy everything is done. Scott Parker (Fulham manager) called me and I had a good feeling. He said he really wanted me”.

‘Fulham is a historic club in London and I have heard a lot about the stadium.

‘I hope this season will be a good one for us. I want to bring my energy and do everything for this team to keep us where we belong to be” – he added.

Areola have won the trophies with PSG and Real Madrid. His experience level would help Fulham as they are coming back into the EPL.

According to Fulham’s Sporting Director, Tony Khan, they’re excited that Areola is joining the club and he’ll be an excellent addition to their squad for their Premier League campaign.
